Tow boards
Scott Chandler has been shaping surfboards since 1983, during the mid
80s he had the chance to spend a lot of time in the shaping room with
such shapers as Dick Brewer, Owl Chapman, in Hawaii, and during Brewer's
stay here on the mainland during summer time. The past few years Chandler
and Brewer worked with world champion tow surfer Garrett Mcnamara on tow
surfboard design as a team, with all of the knowledge from the three of
them was applied to the boards and as a result the boards are amazing.
As a tow surfer himself Chandler has used many different inputs on creating
boards that will work best in a towing environment, recently working on
tow surfboard design with Rusty Presindorfer, at his factory in San Diego
its been a difficult procedure but loving every minute of it Chandler
has spent countless time in creating the most innovative, dynamic shapes
for the tow surfing community. |
